Context: Studies have shown that various Assemblages, sub-assemblage (subtypes) and genotypes of Giardia intestinalis multiple hosts; therefore, their distribution reservoirs as well pattern epidemiological are different. The present study was conducted to summarize the results genetic studies on G. in Iran.
